Braised Wild Boar with Sauerkraut recipe.

Ingredients
2 (20 ounce) cans sauerkraut, drained
3 pounds wild boar roast
1 large onion, quartered
4 potatoes, peeled and cubed
4 carrots, cut into 2 inch pieces
1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle beer

Directions
Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).
Pour one can of sauerkraut into the bottom of a Dutch oven. Set the roast on top of it, then arrange the onions potatoes and carrots around the roast. Cover with the remaining can of sauerkraut and pour in the beer. Cover with a lid.
Bake in the preheated oven until the roast is extremely tender, about 3 hours.

Bean, Bacon and Pepper Soup recipe.

Ingredients
5 slices bacon
3 onions, chopped
2 carrots, chopped
1 red bell pepper, chopped
2 stalks celery, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon white sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
4 cups chicken broth
2 (15 ounce) cans cannellini beans, with liquid
1/2 cup chopped parsley

Directions
In a large pot over medium high heat, saute the bacon until crisp. Drain the fat, leaving about 2 tablespoons in the pot. Crumble the bacon, reserving for later for garnish. Add the onions, carrots, red bell pepper, celery and garlic to the pot and saute in the bacon fat for 10 minutes.
Stir in the sugar, ground black pepper, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, bay leaf, thyme and Worcestershire sauce. Now pour in just a small amount of chicken stock to deglaze the pan. (Note: This removes all of the caramelized particles from the bottom of the pan.)
Add the beans and the rest of the stock and continue to cook over medium high heat for 10 to 15 minutes, or until all vegetables are tender.
In a food processor or blender, puree 3 cups of soup at a time, adjusting seasoning if necessary. Return all pureed soup to the pot, stir in the parsley and crumbled bacon and simmer for 10 more minutes.

Black-Eyed Pea Salad II recipe.

Ingredients
1 cup dehydrated sun-dried tomatoes
2 (15 ounce) cans black-eyed peas, drained
1/2 small red onion, chopped
1 small green bell pepper, chopped
1 (6 ounce) package crumbled feta cheese
1/3 cup olive oil
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon honey

Directions
Place sun-dried tomatoes in a small bowl with enough boiling water to cover. Allow to sit 3 minutes, or until softened. Drain, and cut into strips.
In a medium bowl, mix the sun-dried tomatoes, black-eyed peas, onion, bell pepper, and feta.
In a separate bowl, whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, and honey. Drizzle over the salad, and gently toss to coat. Refrigerate 1 hour before serving.

A Peanutty S'more recipe.

Ingredients
2 large marshmallows
2 graham cracker squares
1 peanut butter cups

Directions
Cook the marshmallows over an open flame or hot coals until they are browned outside, and soft all the way through, 2 to 4 minutes.
Place the marshmallows on top of one of the graham cracker squares. Place the peanut butter cup on top of the marshmallows. Top with the last graham cracker square.

Broccoli Casserole III recipe.

Ingredients
2 (10 ounce) packages frozen chopped broccoli
8 ounces processed cheese food, shredded
1/4 pound butter
32 buttery round crackers, crushed

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Place broccoli in casserole dish and cover with cheese.
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter; add the cracker crumbs and stir until evenly coated. Sprinkle over cheese.
Bake for 30 minutes.

Argentinean-Style Ribs recipe.

Ingredients
1 cup coarse salt, or as needed
6 pounds beef short ribs
6 limes, quartered

Directions
Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat, and lightly oil the grate.
Coat the ribs heavily with salt. This brings out the fat.
Grill for 5 to 7 minutes on each side, or to desired doneness. Remove cooked ribs to a large glass serving dish, and squeeze lime juice over them. Serve immediately.

Bean & Pasta Soup recipe.

Ingredients
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/2 pound ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 envelope dry vegetable soup mix
1 cup water
1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes
1 (14.5 ounce) can red kidney beans, drained
1/4 cup uncooked star-shaped pasta

Directions
Heat oil in a large stockpot over medium-high heat. Crumble ground beef into pot and cook, stirring frequently, until well browned. Remove meat, leaving excess oil in pot.
Cook onion and garlic in oil over medium-high heat until translucent. Stir in tomatoes, kidney beans, vegetable soup mix, and water. Reduce heat, and simmer 40 minutes.
Add pasta stars, cover, and simmer 20 minutes more, or until pasta is tender. You may add more water at any time to adjust consistency.

Bobbing for Apples recipe.

Ingredients
1 cup ice cubes
2 fluid ounces Southern Comfort liqueur
1/4 cup apple cider, or as needed

Directions
Fill a highball glass with ice. Pour in Southern Comfort, then fill the rest of the glass with apple cider. Stir before serving.

Alfredo Potatoes recipe.

Ingredients
2 large baking potatoes
1 cup prepared Alfredo sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon dried thyme
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions
Pierce potatoes several times with a fork and place on a microwave-safe plate. Microwave on high for 6 minutes or until tender. Allow potatoes to cool slightly.
Meanwhile, in a bowl, combine the Alfredo sauce, garlic powder, pepper and thyme. Stir in 1/2 cup cheddar cheese and mozzarella cheese.
Cut potatoes in half lengthwise. Scoop out the pulp, leaving a thin shell.
Mash the pulp and add to the sauce mixture; mix well. Spoon into potato shells. Sprinkle with remaining cheddar cheese. Microwave on high for 1 minute or until cheese is melted.

Apple Spice Cake recipe.

Ingredients
1 (18.25 ounce) package spice cake mix
1 (21 ounce) can LUCKY LEAF� Apple Pie Filling
3 large eggs
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 stick butter or margarine, softened
1 cup confectionery sugar
4 tablespoons MUSSELMAN'S� Apple Butter

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease pan. Combine dry cake mix with can of LUCKY Leaf Apple Pie Filling and eggs. Blend or stir well. Bake for the amount of time as directed on box cake mix for appropriate pan size. Cool cake, and ice with recipe that follows.
Blend all ingredients until smooth. Spread icing on cooled cake.

Bouillabaisse recipe.

Ingredients
3/4 cup olive oil
2 onions, thinly sliced
2 leeks, sliced
3 tomatoes - peeled, seeded and chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 sprig fennel leaf
1 sprig fresh thyme
1 teaspoon orange zest
3/4 pound mussels, cleaned and debearded
9 cups boiling water
salt and pepper to taste
5 pounds sea bass
1 pinch saffron threads
3/4 pound fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined

Directions
Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan, and add the onions, leeks, chopped tomatoes, and garlic. Cook and stir over a low heat for a few minutes until all vegetables are soft.
Stir in the fennel, thyme, bay leaf, and orange zest. Add shellfish and boiling water; stir to combine. Season to taste with salt and black pepper. Turn up the heat to high, and boil for about 3 minutes to allow the oil and water to combine.
Add fish, and reduce the heat to medium. Continue cooking for 12 to 15 minutes, or until fish is cooked. The fish should be opaque and tender, but still firm. Fish should not be falling apart.
Taste the bouillabaisse and adjust the seasoning. Stir in saffron, and then pour soup into a warmed tureen or soup dishes. Serve immediately.

Best Frozen Daiquiris recipe.

Ingredients
1 (12 fluid ounce) can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
1 (6 ounce) can frozen limeade concentrate
4 1/4 cups water
1 (750 milliliter) bottle light rum

Directions
In a large freezable container, mix lemonade concentrate, limeade concentrate, water and rum. Freeze for 24 hours.
When frozen, break up with a wooden spoon, stir and serve. Store remainder in freezer until needed. Be sure to stir before serving, as the alcohol tends to settle to the bottom.

Breakfast Loaf recipe.

Ingredients
6 eggs, beaten
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1 (1 pound) round French bread loaf
6 ounces thinly sliced deli ham, divided
3/4 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese, divided
3/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
1/2 medium red bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 medium tomato, thinly sliced

Directions
In a small bowl, combine eggs, salt and pepper. Melt butter in a skillet; add eggs. Cook and stir until set; set aside. Cut the top fourth off loaf of bread. Carefully hollow out top and bottom, leaving a 1/2-in. shell. (Discard removed bread or save for another use.) Set top aside.
In bottom of bread, place a fourth of the ham. Layer with half of the Monterey Jack and cheddar cheese, red pepper, scrambled eggs and tomato slices. Top with the remaining cheese and ham. Gently press the layers together. Replace bread top and wrap tightly in foil. Bake at 350 degrees F for 25-30 minutes or until heated through. Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting.

Ali's Green Sauce recipe.

Ingredients
3 avocados, peeled and pitted
3 green tomatoes
4 fresh tomatillos, husks removed
3 cloves garlic, peeled
2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and halved
5 sprigs fresh cilantro
1 1/2 cups sour cream
salt to taste

Directions
Place tomatoes, tomatillos, garlic, and jalapenos in a saucepan, and add enough water to cover. Bring to a boil, and cook for 15 minutes, or until vegetables are tender. Remove from heat, drain, and allow to cool.
Place avocados, the cooked vegetables, sour cream, and cilantro in a blender or food processor, and blend until smooth. Season to taste with salt. Cover, and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Apple Cranberry Relish recipe.

Ingredients
2 navel oranges
2 (12 ounce) packages cranberries
2 apples - peeled, cored and chopped
2 celery, chopped
3 cups white sugar

Directions
Grate peel of orange; reserve. Peel oranges and discard white membranes. Separate oranges into sections and place half in a food processor or blender. To the food processor add half of the cranberries, apples and celery. Process until coarsely chopped. Transfer to a bowl; repeat with remaining oranges, cranberries, apples and celery. Stir in sugar and reserved orange peel. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Bourbon Balls II recipe.

Ingredients
1 cup vanilla wafer crumbs
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup confectioners' sugar
2 teaspoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 cup bourbon
1 1/2 teaspoons light corn syrup
1/3 cup confectioners' sugar for decoration

Directions
Combine wafer crumbs, finely chopped pecans, 1 cup confectioners' sugar and cocoa.
Blend the bourbon and the corn syrup together. Add the crumb mixture and mix well. Shape into 1 inch balls and roll in confectioners' sugar. Refrigerate.

Blueberry Crumble recipe.

Ingredients
1 (21 ounce) can blueberry pie filling
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 (18.25 ounce) package white cake mix
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup butter, melted

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Spread pie filling into a 9x13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle evenly with lemon juice.
In a large bowl, stir together cake mix, nuts, and melted butter until mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle over pie filling.
Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, until top is light brown.

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/4 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground mace
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
1 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon milk
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup cornflakes cereal, crumbled
3 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup flaked coconut
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets. Sift together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, mace, nutmeg, and cloves; set aside.
In a large bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in milk and vanilla. Gradually mix in the sifted ingredients until well blended. Using a wooden spoon, stir in the cornflakes, oats, coconut, chocolate chips, and walnuts. Roll the dough into walnut sized balls, and place 2 inches apart on prepared cookie sheets; flatten slightly.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. I found that slightly under baking these yields wonderfully chewy cookies!

Blue Hawaiian recipe.

Ingredients
1 ounce Smirnoff� Orange Vodka
1 ounce blue curacao liqueur
2 ounces orange juice
1 ounce pineapple juice
1 slice orange

Directions
Pour Smirnoff� Orange Vodka, blue curacao liqueur, orange juice, and pineapple juice into a glass filled with ice.
Stir well and garnish with orange slice to serve.

BDukes Lima Beans, Cabbage and Smoked Sausage recipe.

Ingredients
1 (16 ounce) package dried lima beans, soaked overnight
2 smoked ham hocks
8 cups water
5 cups shredded cabbage
1/2 cup butter
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
3/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes
1 pound smoked sausage, sliced (optional)

Directions
In a large pot, combine the lima beans, ham hocks, water, cabbage and butter. Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and set a lid on top but leave a crack for steam. Simmer for 1 1/2 hours. Remove the lid, add the tomatoes and sausage; simmer with the lid on until beans are completely tender, 15 to 20 minutes.

Bacon-Chive Tossed Salad recipe.

Ingredients
1/2 cup creamy Parmesan Romano salad dressing
2 tablespoons snipped chives
4 cups torn Bibb or Boston lettuce
1 medium red onion, thinly sliced and separated into rings
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1/4 cup real bacon bits

Directions
In a small bowl, combine the salad dressing and chives. In a salad bowl, toss the lettuce, onion, cheese and bacon. Serve with dressing.

Angel's Old Fashioned Beef Stew recipe.

Ingredients
4 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
2 pounds beef chuck, cubed
12 small boiling onions
6 large potatoes, peeled and diced
6 carrots, sliced
3 stalks celery, sliced
3 (10.5 ounce) cans beef broth
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon cold water

Directions
In a large pot heat oil over medium high heat. In a resealable plastic bag mix together the flour, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Add a small handful of meat at a time and shake until well coated; brown in hot oil, about 1 minute per side. Remove the browned meat and continue until all the meat is browned.
Lower heat to medium and add onions. Brown onions on both sides, about 3 minutes per side, then remove from pot and set aside. Drain excess fat from pot.
To pot add potatoes, carrots, celery, reserved onions, browned meat and broth. Stir all together and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
For a thicker broth: 1/2 hour before stew is done, combine 3 tablespoons flour and water in a small bowl and mix well, then slowly stir mixture into stew.

Broiled Spanish Mackerel recipe.

Ingredients
6 (3 ounce) fillets Spanish mackerel fillets
1/4 cup olive oil
1/2 teaspoon paprika
salt and ground black pepper to taste
12 slices lemon

Directions
Preheat the oven's broiler and set the oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source. Lightly grease a baking dish.
Rub both sides of each mackerel fillet with olive oil and place with the skin side down into the prepared baking dish. Season each fillet with the paprika, salt, and pepper. Top each fillet with two lemon slices.
Bake the fillets under the broiler until the fish just begins to flake, 5 to 7 minutes. Serve immediately.

Almond Custard Filling recipe.

Ingredients
1/2 cup nonfat dry milk powder
2 tablespoons cornstarch
3/4 cup white sugar
1 1/2 cups water
4 egg yolks, beaten
1 teaspoon almond extract

Directions
Mix nonfat dry milk, cornstarch, and sugar together in a medium sized saucepan. Stir in a mixture of water and egg yolks gradually, until smooth. Cook and stir over medium heat until thick and smooth. Continue to cook while stirring over low heat for one minute longer. Remove from heat and stir in almond extract. Allow custard to cool before using.

Apple Muffins recipe.

Ingredients
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3/4 cup nonfat milk
2 egg whites
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup honey
1 cup chopped apples

Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Lightly grease one 12-cup muffin tin.
Lightly beat egg whites.
In a separate bowl mix dry ingredients thoroughly.
In a separate bowl, mix remaining ingredients. Gently fold in egg white. Add to the dry ingredients. Stir until barely moistened. Batter will be lumpy.
Fill greased muffin tins two-thirds full. Bake about 20 minutes until lightly browned.

Asparagus Avocado Medley recipe.

Ingredients
1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed and cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces
8 fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 large ripe avocado, peeled and cubed
1 medium zucchini, diced
1 large tomato, seeded and chopped
1 medium red onion, sliced
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons olive or canola oil
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Directions
Place asparagus and 2 tablespoons water in a microwave-safe dish. Cover and microwave on high for 3-6 minutes or until crisp-tender, stirring once; drain and cool.
In a large bowl, combine the asparagus, mushrooms, avocado, zucchini, tomato and onion; toss gently. In a jar with a tight-fitting lid, combine the remaining ingredients; shake well. Pour over salad and toss gently to coat. Cover and refrigerate until serving.

Berry Cheesecake Parfaits recipe.

Ingredients
1 (8 ounce) package PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
1 1/2 cups cold milk
1 (3.4 ounce) package JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding
1 1/2 cups thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, divided
24 NILLA Wafers, coarsely chopped
1 1/2 cups mixed blueberries and sliced fresh strawberries

Directions
Beat cream cheese with mixer until creamy. Gradually beat in milk. Add dry pudding mix; mix well. Whisk in 1 cup COOL WHIP.
Layer half each of wafers, berries and pudding mixture in 8 parfait glasses. Repeat layers.
Top with remaining COOL WHIP.
